  MEK ARENA INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL
  Sheet One / The Starport
  -----------------------------

  The Starport is the hub of all the major events inside the Mek
  Arena. There are ten things to do within the starport, and each
  will be expained at length below.

  Amateur Night - This is where most pilots will being their
    careers. Amateur Night allows pilots to enter combat in an
    arena-owned Mek against another arena-owned mek. Only amateurs
    are allowed, but this event gives players a great opportunity
    to become familiar with mek combat without risking their own
    funds.

  Arena - The arena is where to go to take on Meks owned by other
    pilots (other players in the game). If you defeat the opponent,
    you are rewarded with one-fifth of the value of the opponent's
    mek in cash. The opponent's mek is automatically repaired when
    battle is complete.

  Casino - The casino has three different games for your pleasure,
    21, Craps, and Yacht.

  Chop Shop - The player can purchase weapons and equipment for his
    mek in this shop. He can also sell off equipment if he's strapped
    for room or for cash.

  Crazy Nick's Discount Mek Emporium - This is where players can buy
    their meks, as well as sell off their old ones. Selling meks
    returns eighty percent of their total value.

  Dave's Metal Forge - Mek Armor and Hull are repaired here. Neither
    armor nor hull can be sold back.

  Garage - Here the player can view all of his meks, as well as choose
    which one he wishes to pilot. Players must be piloting a particular
    mek in order to get it repaired or to take it into combat.

  Leave Starport - This leads back to the game's main menu.

  Merc Missions - The bulk of the player's missions will take place
    here. Several governments petition mercs here to go after one of
    their enemies. Players can take their mek against one of the
    government's enemies for great reward, and even special items not
    available in the chop shop.

  Training Hall - After players have accumulated enough experience,
    they may improve their skills and reputation by entering here and
    advancing in level.
